When I look back the history of India when I go to the documentary evidence of India then I find after 16 Mahajanapadas only Magadh could consolidate and extend its territories, simultaneously it moved towards a greater Magadh till the period of Chandragupta Maurya thereafter Samrat Ashok has extended its territories in West up to Iran ,in the East Verma, in North Tibet and in South Sri Lanka this was the part of Magadh and it was only the India. now due to division among the people of Magadh it is started the beginning of fall of Magadh and western invasions started Till 7th century when the Magadh was strong Western invasion did not take place but as the Magadh started getting weak the western countries started invading and the territory was being captured by the invaders. India was broken into the pieces and it was easy to capture the India without strong Magadh till the time Britishers has invaded India but all the invaders from 7 centuries to 19th centuries none of them could capture whole Magadh Empire which was at the time of Samrat Ashok resultant after freedom in 1947 the India which We received from British was incomplete India, it was not the India which was at the time of Magadha Empire, but now the fact is we have several sovereign countries as a neighbour.
